About Us
Andrea Rombach, the owner of ARom Legal Nurse Consulting, has been accumulating medical field knowledge and experience for over 20 years. Born and raised in the Rogue Valley, Andrea started as a nursing assistant in 2000; she worked throughout college in assisted living, mental health, and a post anesthesia care.
In 2004 Andrea graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and moved to Bend Oregon. She started her nursing career caring for total joint replacement and spinal surgery patients as well as helping patients recover from traumatic orthopedic injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and stroke. Advancing her career, Andrea worked with post-operative coronary artery bypass patients and patients with multisystem disease processes. Andrea then earned her way into the Emergency Department through internship.
Andrea found a niche in Emergency Services and for 8 years she mastered assessment and treatment of injury and illness. From acute stroke and heart attack to trauma, Andrea was a nurse mentor, educator, and relief charge nurse. As a leader in the emergency department and primary trauma nurse, Andrea has been called for deposition in cases of suicide and traumatic loss of limb. Andrea has also provided grand jury testimony in elder abuse cases and witness testimony in DUII cases.
Out of the hospital Andrea was the medical coordinator for Search and Rescue where she provided continuing education to SAR volunteers, EMTs, and paramedics. Andrea has seen the good, bad, and ugly of medicine and her ability to share her knowledge and teach others makes her uniquely qualified to help those with limited medical experience understand what is happening in a serious medical case.
In 2014 Andrea became a Deputy Medical Examiner for Deschutes County where she was responsible for death investigations of natural, accidental, and non-accidental deaths. Andrea is adept at completing postmortem exams, acquiring and analyzing medical records, and working closely with state, local, and federal entities to complete accurate and efficient death investigations.
After moving back to the rogue valley with her husband and children to be closer to their families, Andrea continued to build her nursing knowledge in cardiac medicine. Andrea worked in an award-winning STEMI Center adding interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, and interventional radiology to her nursing areas of expertise.
Andrea completed, with apprenticeship, her Certification for Legal Nurse Consulting from the prestigious Vickie Milazzo Institute and founded ARom Legal Nurse Consulting. Andrea is now sharing her years of medical knowledge with her attorney clients so they can achieve the best outcomes for their clients. As a dedicated professional, Andrea is also a Nationally Certified Guardian through the Center for Guardianship Certification and provides professional guardianship services for incapacitated elders in Southern Oregon.
